Thompson Tanks is a leading manufacturer of high quality liquefied propane gas (LPG) tanks. We make tanks to serve a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial uses.
A bit of history
In July 1990, as part of a diversification strategy, the Thompson Steel
Pipe Company created Thompson Tank. It was a natural evolution for
Thompson Pipe, since they had been making steel cylinder pipe since 1878.
After some testing and refinement of the product we shipped LPG tanks to
our first dealer in 1991. Our business has grown and prospered ever since.
In 1996, Northwest Pipe Company, an organization with over 100 years of
experience in the steel pipe and tube industries, purchased Thompson Steel
Company and Thompson Tanks. With Northwest Pipe's support, we have continued
to grow our business through an unwavering commitment to quality and exceptional
customer service.
